Grave Mapping and Plot Identification

Using advanced GIS and remote sensing technology, we map cemeteries and identify unmarked or forgotten graves. We assist families in locating burial plots, confirming the existence of cemeteries, and providing peace of mind.

  • GIS-Based Cemetery Mapping: Use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology to create detailed maps of the cemetery, including the location of all marked graves, pathways, and significant landmarks within the cemetery. These maps can be digital, allowing for easy updates and integration with other preservation tools.

  • Community and Public Mapping Projects: We engage with local communities to co-create knowledge and develop preservation strategies for historic cemeteries. By incorporating participatory GIS and community mapping into my research, we ensure that the voices of those most affected by spatial and environmental injustices are central to the planning and preservation processes.
